A relaxed, family-friendly Illawarra surf beach between Towradgi Beach to the north and the popular Bellambi Lagoon coastal reserve to the south, stretching from the northern end at Bellambi Point down towards the Corrimal Surf Life Saving Club in the south. Corrimal Beach features wide golden sand, gentle rolling surf breaks suitable for beginner surfers and bodyboarders, shady Norfolk Island pine trees planted along the length of the dune reserve, and multiple free carparks with easy ramp access down to the shore.

Dog access is split into three signed zones along the beach. The southern end surrounding the Corrimal Surf Life Saving Club, flagged patrolled swimming area and the main surf club kiosk is CLOSED to dogs at all times for public safety. The middle section of Corrimal Beach, roughly from the second carpark ramp northwards, allows dogs on-leash only before 7am and after 6pm between October and March (summer daylight saving), or before 9am and after 4pm from April to September (winter). The largest and most popular dog area is the northern end of Corrimal Beach beyond Bellambi Lagoon – this stretch is a permanent 24-hour, 7-day-per-week off-leash exercise zone where dogs can run freely, play fetch and swim in the surf, and is considered one of the most reliable year-round off-leash beaches in the northern Illawarra. Dogs on-leash can also be walked along the shared Bellambi Lagoon walking and cycling track behind the dunes, which loops around the lagoon and links Corrimal to Warrawong and Fairy Meadow.
